How we are Financed

At present we receive financial support from members of the local and wider community. We are also fortunate to receive a monthly government grant. In order to be affordable to parents and sponsors alike, we try to keep our fees to an absolute minimum, and thus are constantly looking for donations and Sponsors to help ease the load of financial pressure.

How can You Help?

Everyone can help one way or another to assist in minimising the long-term effects of poverty. We at Thembelihle feel that we are making a constructive contribution to helping the children in our community obtain a quality education.

There are many ways in which you can help us. You could help a child to obtain an education and head start in life by sponsoring their school fees. Many of the families whose children are pupils at Thembelihle are unemployed and cannot afford to send their children to school. In 2012 our fees will be R2800 per child and any contribution towards these fees would be greatly appreciated!

You could also help to fund a teacher’s salary, donate books or educational toys, groceries or clothing. Or if you live locally – we would love for you to spend time with our children – perhaps listen to their reading?
